Friederike Bieber

Friederike is a young singer from Germany. She graduated from the BMus Vocal Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2017.

She continues her singing lessons with her teacher Prof. Marilyn Rees while developing her career as a performer, singing teacher and German language coach.

Friederike’s first role was Bastienne in Mozart’s Bastien and Bastienne in a production of the University of Arts in Szczecin (Poland) in 2011. She performed the role of the Fox in a student production of Leos Janacek’s opera The Cunning Little Vixen in 2016 and the role of Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni as well as the 2nd Witch in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in an opera scenes show case in 2017 at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.

As a chorus member she sang in the Verdi Requiem with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra in the Barbican Concert Hall (September 2014), in Vivaldi’s Juditha Triumphans with the Baroque Orchestra Venice and Conductor Andrea Marcon (Barbican Concert Hall, November 2016) and in the world premiere of The Tale of Januarie by Julian Philipps in the Silk Street Theatre (February 2017). Since November 2018 Friederike is a member of the BBC Symphony Chorus.

French Mélodies and German Lieder form a central part of her repertoire which she frequently performs in concerts in London, the UK, Germany and Poland.
